INTERCHANGE

Located along Interstate 25 and providing access to both Fort Collins and Windsor, this interchange threads the juncture between the plains and foothills, and the development grid and the Poudre River. As travelers head north, they discover a striking vantage point along the highway and for miles toward Wyoming. The concept for the interchange focuses on the beauty and value of this landscape, leaving the bridge to “tread lightly” across this view. Drawing on Front Range landforms and ecology, Didier Design Studio crafted a series of sculptural walls, planting and landforms evocative of this unique place. The result is a contemporary and inviting entrance that reflects and preserves the area’s unique environmental heritage.
